AxeMaster respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

2. Data We Collect

• Account Information: Name, email, nickname, preferred language, hand preference (left/right)
• Profile Data: Skill level, instruments, learning goals, practice habits, favorite artists, strictness level
• Learning Data: Progress tracking, completed levels, badges earned (pass count, expiry dates), specialty paths activated
• Chat History: Conversations stored during active sessions, then summarized and deleted after session ends (30 min inactivity). Only conversation summaries (topics, struggles, goals) are retained while your account is active
• Audio Features: 30+ numerical audio features extracted from your playing (MFCC, chroma, pitch, timing, etc.)
• Practice Metrics: Session duration, accuracy scores, error patterns, practice quality indicators (pauses, consistency)
• Device Information: USB audio interface make/model (for compatibility tracking)

Important: We do NOT store raw audio recordings. Only extracted features and practice metrics are stored.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Provide personalized guitar instruction with real-time feedback on your playing
• Track your progress through 390 skill levels and adapt lessons to your pace
• Award skill badges that renew weekly (pass 7 times over 6+ weeks to earn permanent mastery)
• Predict how long it will take you to earn badges based on your practice patterns
• Recommend learning paths based on your favorite artists and musical goals
• Improve our teaching methods using anonymized, aggregated data
• Send you reminders about badges expiring soon and platform updates

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on AWS infrastructure in the EU region with encryption at rest and in transit.
